Who Writes BS 7799?

BSI-DISC manages committees responsible for the standard:
BDD/2 - "Information Security Management" is responsible for the development and maintenance of BS 7799-2.
IST/33 - "IT Security Techniques" is responsible for the development and maintenance of BS ISO/IEC 17799.
These committees represent all interested parties and are constituted of representatives from industry, commerce and public sector organisations.
