 BS 7799 Taxonomy of Reference Documents



This Taxonomy provides references to a range of documents that might be useful to support the implementation of BS 7799.  It includes documents such as:

red ball international, regional and UK standards;
red ball legislation and regulations;
red ball codes of practice, guidelines and procedures from professional institutes, societies and associations;
red ball publicly available specifications and technical reports on use and application of information security.

The material referenced in this Taxonomy may provide further guidance and technical details to support the implementation of the controls in BS 7799.  It is entirely up to the judgment of the user of this Taxonomy, which of the items referenced in this document are applicable to their implementation of BS 7799.  This Taxonomy DOES NOT MANDATE the use of any of these items.
